Zilco Airlite Race Hood - Full Cup

This race hood has a full cup which is laced onto the hood and may be repositioned as required. Airlite is a very light nylon mesh with some stretch, that allows full air circulation.

Sometimes referred to as "blinkers", race hoods are generally used to restrict the horse's vision to some extent (depending on whether a full cup or half cup is used) in order to encourage them to focus on the race rather than what is going on around them. This can be very useful in reducing anxiety and race nerves.

Airlite is a very light nylon mesh with some stretch, that allows full air circulation. All hoods in the Airlite range are fastened with clips and elastic straps under the neck.
