Electrolytes are a major factor in maintaining hydration, muscle contraction, nerve conduction and balancing acids / bases in blood. Deficiency of electrolytes is caused by many reasons such as dehydration, heavy physical activity, sweating, diarrhea, insufficient consumption of micronutrients in the diet etc.

Feed the supplement before, during and after the race or the workout.
