Description

Equi-Grow is required for growth and overall health in horses. It has a key role in growth and maintenance of bone and connective tissue. Vitamin A in combination with Vitamin D3, are crucial for the proper function of osteoclasts, which are responsible for the resorption and remodeling of bone.

Vitamin A is necessary for the synthesis of collagen and crosslinking, so it is important for the strength of the tendons and ligaments. Retinoic acid one of the active forms of vitamin A in the body, can synergize with the thyroid hormone of glucocorticoid to enhance secretion growth hormone. Growth hormone has been shown experimentally to strengthen the healing process in soft tissue injuries.
